Sea Base Out Island Adventure,

FLORIDA SEABASE OUT ISLAND ADVENTUREWe will live as Robinson Crusoe for seven days on the Out Island Adventure which combines camping on a remote 100 acre island, shark fishing, snorkeling on pristine coral reefs, trolling for sportfish, kayaking through red mangroves, and exploring the flora and fauna of Big Munson Island. You will wade ashore on Big Munson Island carrying all the food, water and equipment used during your adventure in a rugged camping setting. Venture out to snorkel, fish and explore. A Program Mate will remain with you for the duration of your trip to assist you in appreciating this unique environment. This is a true high-adventure program, one that combines physical challenge with excitement and adventure and rugged camping. Dates reserved are

- Here is the Basic Scoop:
- Base fees are $725.00 per person plus Transportation and any side trips. We’ll be driving private vehicles, so we’ll be paying for gas.
- Each participant must be a registered Boy Scout, Varsity Scout, Venture Scout, or Adult Leader.
- Participants must be thirteen (13) and graduated from the 8th grade or fourteen (14) years old to participate in all programs.
- Troop 35 requires all Scouts to be at least First Class in rank.
- All Scouts must show the ability to swim 100 yards (official BSA swim test) and stay afloat for one (1) minute.
- IF YOU ARE 16 OR OLDER, GET A SALTWATER FISHING LICENSE. You can do it online at http://myfwc.com/license/LicPermit_RecreationalHF.htm. THESE ARE NOT SOLD AT SEABASE.

- Friday, April 15, 2011 - remit the "Funds Owed" to Sheila Andersen, Troop 35 Treasurer, as final payments are due to Seabase by the end of April. (for most participants, this is the 2nd half payment of $362.50 unless you already paid in full, actual amount due is in the materials provided to your scout).
- Tuesday, May 3, 2011 - DURING THE TROOP MEETING Parent meeting
- Tuesday May 31, 2011 - ALL MEDICAL FORMS and Contact Information sheets must be be submitted to David Kenney
- July 22-28, 2011 - Crew A Out Island Adventure (Friday through Thursday)
- August 7-13, 2011 - Crew B Out Island Adventure (Sunday through Saturday)
