Patrol Leaders' Council
The PLC generally meets on the first Monday of each month, coinciding with the Parent Committee Meeting.

The Patrol Leaders’ Council (PLC) directs the program of the Troop, planning all activities and events including weekly Troop meetings. Decisions of the PLC are arrived at democratically, each Patrol getting a single vote. The PLC consists of the Patrol Leaders, including Venture Patrol Leaders, and is chaired by the Senior Patrol Leader; additional members of the PLC are the Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, the Troop Guide, and the Troop OA Representative. The Senior Patrol Leader (SPL) is elected by all the Scouts of the Troop; he, in consultation with the Scoutmaster, plans the agenda of the PLC. The Troop Scribe records the minutes but does not vote on decisions; he reports to the Troop the decisions agreed to at the next Troop meeting.

The Patrol Leader (PL) represents his Patrol on the PLC. As the representative of his Patrol, he voices the views and concerns of the members of his Patrol. All Patrol members are encouraged to bring to the attention of their Patrol Leader: ideas they have for the Troop’s program, trips and adventures they would like to go on, and comments they have — both positive and negative — about the activities they have been participating in. The Patrol Leader interprets the decisions of the PLC to his Patrol and solicits their reaction.
